I understand how you’re feeling. My wife is the same way. Her mind is constantly wondering and it’s hard for her to focus on something for a longer period of time. She uses guided meditation with some success and also says daily exercise is helping here. Also, while she works, she listens to music. It seems that for her at least, music helps keep her mind occupied but not as occupied as to not be able to focus on what she’s doing then. I hope that makes sense.

Beethoven, Nora En Pure, uplifting music on Spotify, etc – it all depends on what she’s working on. Sometimes she needs music without lyrics to focus better and something lyrics are ok. Some days she may listen to a single song, with lyrics, on repeat. The mind gets used to the lyrics so it doesn’t focus on them as much in time.

I feel you. I used to be exactly that way. Heck, some days, I am that way. But, things got so hectic that the stress of it all took me down. I was out of it, in a hospital bed for almost 2 weeks. Emma, you need to take breaks, girl. Your body and especially your mind need breaks. It doesn’t matter what you do and how workaholic you are. You will get burned eventually. You need to force yourself to take breaks, one at least every 2 hours. I aim for 10 minutes every 1 hours and I also have at least 1 day weekly when I try not to do anything work related. I also take around 2 weeks off every 4-5 months. And it all helps me recharge my batteries, be more creative, have more energy and stay away from health problems.
